I am pre-op. I am sure that I will just miss food in general! My birthday is October 24th. I am a scorpio. When I was young my mother had a book with nursery rhymes that fit or described your sign mine read: There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forhead. And when she was good she was very, very good ... and when she was bad she was horrid. THAT IS ME!! I have 2 children. My son, Zach, is 16 - the teenage years are TERRIBLBE!! My daughter, Tia, is 12 - she is still my sweetie. I am a real cat lover. I have a black persian who has only one eye. It was surgically removed as a kitten before we got her. I also have a 4 month old baby that was abandoned by his mother at about 2 weeks. I am a real sucker for lost causes.

sometimes you'll miss it, sometimes you'll forget it, that's how the relationship with food is after surgery. Hey my mother used to tell me that was my nursery rhyme.. I think she only gave it to me because I had a head full of curls, still do pretty much, well lately the HAIR that is left! I'm 4 months out and it has began to fall out ohhh well, I have a lot, hopefully I won't miss it much..

Alrighty: 1) Pre op and I will miss my Triple Venti Nonfat Carmel Machiatto from Starbucks!! 2) My birthday is August 13th and I am a Leo - I very much fit the sign (absolutely love the sun!) 3) I am currently in the process of adopting 2 beautiful children! They are siblings. My son is 2 1/2 and he has been wiht me since he was 5 months old and my daughter is 7 1/2 and has been with me since she was 5. It has been a long process (2 yrs 4 mos) and an emotional rollercoaster. If I can do this I know I can get through the insurance junk for this surgery (at least that is what I keep tellin myself ) 4) My daughter has a hamster named Precious - Does anyone know how long these things live she has had it for over a year (mine never made it that long when I was a kid). Have a great day!!

I had 2 hampsters for two years when I was a kid and they got out of their cage one day and my dog Fritzy ate them both. I still am not sure how they got out. I am sure someone in my family knows. I had 3 older sisters lol.

Three older sisters huh - I bet they do know what happened - lol. I am quite surprised though - 2 years is a long time. Not that I want it to die I just never knew they really lived that long because mine always either died or got out.

::::looking stupid here:::::dawasta Starbucks? OK I've heard of them, but am not a coffee drinker really so I have never sought them out. How very cool, adoption... the thought keeps going through my head, but then I think in just 6.5 short years I will have MY life again. I just know it, I am betting I do something stupid before it's over... lol Good Luck

Starbucks is more than coffee it is like a special treat, a dessert, depending on what you order. They have some other yummy stuff besides coffee and they also have tastey treats/pastries. They are my favorite place and I will truely miss it if/when I am approved for surgery. I already get my drink w/skim milk and sugar free vanilla syrup but they don't have sugar free caramel! So it will be out! As for adoption it is a wonderful thing! It is definitely an emotional roller coaster but the kids are worth every bit of it!! Not only am I adopting but I also work in the field. There are SO many kids out there who need good homes! It was funny because when I went to my consult with my surgeon and I mentioned kids (of course on my paperwork it says no births) he looked surprised and I told him I was adopting - he asked if I was adopitng overseas because he thought it was hard to adopt in the US - no it is not hard at all unless you are only interested in adopting a "healthy" white newborn. Otherwise there is an abundance of kids out there to be adopted and I was surprised that he was unaware. There is a definite need! Adoption is great! I adore my children and can't imagine loving them any more even if I had given birth to them!! (alright I will step down off my soap box now - lol)!
