I have a couple of questions that have been asked and I have never heard anyone ask so here goes. When do you stop losing weight after wls? My mom said do you keep right on losing and dwindle away to nothing? Hmmmm now wouldn't that be a thought? From obese to skin and bones! If you get down to far how do you gain back some so that you do not look anerexic? I have heard of people getting to thin and not feeling well. They gained a little and started feeling a little better? I recently had a colonoscopy and it found that I have a form of colitis, the Dr said what kind it is but I could not understan him. Does anyone know if this would be an issue if the attorney accepts my case and by some chance gets the exclusion overturned? I sent the $ to hire the attorney and 2 days later had a Dr appointment for diarrhea that has lasted 6wks. He got my right in to a specialist and the colonoscopy done the next day. That is when I found out all this. I have not heard from the attorney as of yet. Thanks everyone for the help! Shelia

I wish I could answer all your questions but I cant. I am 8 months out and have stopped losing for a while. As you get thinner you can eat more until you get down to a normal weight. If we all go down to bones we would be in very big trouble. I am at my last 30lbs and am having a very hard time. Not bones yet lol. It all works out if you keep eating like you are supposed to. Its hard to get it all in believe me, Cindy

I have found that when you see the surgeon they make an estimate of what percent of your excess weight you will lose. They do not tell you this unless you ask. Some of us top out at only 50 to 80% loss and others are lucky enough to go to their ideal weight. I have stopped at a loss of 70% so I am in the Dr.s range but not mine. I have been told your body will make the final determination of how much you will lose. Good luck with your exclusion case and keep trying. Darla
