I have a date for surgery

I have not really posted anything previously at least not for quite a while, but I am so excited that I have a date and it is basically only a week away. Feb 7 at Surgical Weight Loss Center , dayton, Ohio. I have been very hesitant to talk to anybody about my surgery, because I work in the health care field and really don't need any negative feedback about having surgery, therefore I have only told a very select few what I am doing. I am so excited that it is near and want to share it, but can't bring myself to talk with most people. So, if anyone reads this and wants to offer moral support, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Chris

Congratulations on the date. You will be so happy that you made the decision. Please, if you need moral support I would be very happy to be there for you, I live in Centerville and new to the area from Florida. My husband is my biggest support, he and I would be happy to help you in any way you would like. We can even come visit you in the hospital. Hang in there you will do great. Thanks so much for the quick reply. I live in Miamisburg, just on the other side of the Dayton mall. We have lived in this area since getting married in 1975. I am originally from the Cleveland area. My husband is being supportive, but he really hates hospitals, so he will have a hard time spending much time with me I'm afraid (judging this on past experience). I do have some other friends who are very supportive as well. Who did your surgery and how long ago was it? I am really very excited about having it. Thanks again, Chris

So I guess your hubby won't be taking you out for Valentiens Day Dinner this year?!?!?!?! LOL I'm not that far away either. I'm in Franklin. Just email or call and I'll give you all kinds of support and try to answer any guestions. Good Luck, Robin W

Robin, Lise told me that she has met you and that you have had great success. I went to breakfast with Lise and Dan on Sunday and they were great to get to know.Hope I will also meet you sometime. Only a few days left till surgery and I am really excited. You're right I won't be going out for Valentine's Day, but I will be going out this coming weekend. My husband grew up in Franklin. Congratulations on your surgery date! I am at the start of my journey. I have been trying to get in touch with the Surgical Weight Loss center to set up an appointment with Dr. Fallang. They are extremely hard to reach! I am going to try again today! I do however have an appointment with Barix in Columbus, but want to stay in the Dayton area. Just easier for my parents. But the woman I talked to at Barix was so nice and helpful! I am just nervous that my insurance will not approve it! I have only told my parents, of course my boyfriend and my best friend. My dad isn't happy about it, but I have to do what is right for me. I understand about not telling anyone at work. I used to work in the medical field and know how mean they can be! I had a tumor on my thyroid ( they found my thyroid at the base of my tongue), had to have surgery and the whole time ( before I found out what the problem was) I was complaining about not feeling good, the nurses I worked with all said I was a hypochondriac! Lucinda, I tried to reply to your email this morning, but something was not working right with my email. Anyway, I was trying to let you know that Dr. Fallang's office phone number is 222-5330. Everyone has been great there and I am very pleased. I am still trying to get a few last "ducks" to line up/get in a row so to speak, but it is coming together and I am very excited that it is approaching quickly. I also wanted to tell you that one of my jobs is working at the AAA building on North main Street in Harrison Township, which is really just down the road from Englewood.
