What do you want or want to do with your sweetheart on Valentines Day? I would love to just veg and do nothing, just spend time together without having to travel. Maybe go out to eat and SHARE a meal. I am such a cheap date. Cheryl

Our church offers free babysitting on Valentines Day so I plan to take advantage of that. We will probably go see a movie and maybe have a bite to eat somewhere. ~~Jaimee

Hmmmmm That is a good question. Being that my birthday is on the 12th, it makes it kinda tricky to cover both. It depends on which one falls on the weekend too. Fortunately my kids are old enough that I don't need a sitter, so we can go out if we choose. Also, this is my big 40 birthday, so I would imagine celebrating that is going to take precedence over any Valentines day celebration!

Val,I have a problem with my loss. I have been at a standstill for about 2 months. Have you ever gone through this? I did lose another lb this morning but it has really been slow. I have 36lbs to go and I am getting so impatient lol. I have added protien and fluids so I thought I would ask you. Also I am hungrier then I have been. I am 6 months out and around 85 down. I just wanted to know if this was normal and if you or anyone else has had this for so long. Thank you very much,Love Cindy

Hi Cindy! Plateaus are very normal. I think I had one for about a month and Earl hit a 2 month one too, just about where you are. Remember you have had a massive loss already, and your body has to have some adjust time. My question I guess at this point is are your doing any kind of exercising? Getting some kind of increased physical activity will bump your metabolism in gear too. My hunger came back around 5 months. It was weird to be hungry again. This is where you have to stop and look at why you are feeling hungry. Are you thirsty? Tired? Bored? Or is it truly physical hunger? I try to attack that with water and fluids first, then if it is really physical hunger hit the protein first. Remember stress will keep you from losing weight too, so try not to get too worked up over it. It is normal, I think most everyone here will tell you they hit some kind of plateau at some point. Stick with the program, relax and let your body catch up. Don't forget to keep insight the fact that you have already lost 85 pounds!!! And in 6 months no less!!! This is the point too, where the weight loss just naturally slows down a litte. Just think, did you ever feel like you'd only be 36 pounds from goal in as little as 6 months? Give yourself some credit my friend!!! You might want to sit down and do what I call a food audit. Once in a while I do an audit of EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth. I count the calories, fat, protein and carbs. That's a good way to see if you are getting hidden carbs and fats that you didn't know about. Hopefully this helps. Just hang in there ok? Take a big deep breath, relax and let everything fall back into place. Hugs! Val

Thank you so much. You have really made me feel so much better. My exercise is not great but I cant wait until the weather gets better. I did lose another lb. today so I am hoping it will move again. You and Earl are such an inspiration to me. I have read you since the minute I started this.I am sort of happy I can eat a little more because before it was barely anything. At least I can get a half of a sandwich in. Thank you so much for all you do for everything. love,Cindy

You are so welcome! See, you lost one more!! It will start again. Do you have steps in your house? You could go up and down your steps for exercise too. Don't wait on the weather! Move that body girl!! Start slow and work your way up. Thank you for being so sweet. I am glad we have been able to give you some positive help!! That's what it's all about, helping each other. Sometimes, you need to eat a little more to lose more. Your body gets to that starvation point it stops losing because it needs to use everything you take in to maintain. If you can try for 800 to 1000 calories a day that would be great. Take care and hang in there! The best is yet to come! Val
