Is there any recent Dr Barbaras patients at Barix clinics here?

Hi iwas just wondering and wanted to hear about some surgery patients that had surgery recently with Dr. Barbara at Barix clinincs in Groveport. How was your experience with him and or his office and staff. Just got approved and waiting on a date. Cant seem to get his assitant Ruth to return a call to get ball rolling.Patient forum is all older posts.

I'm in the same position - just got approved on Monday, and I'm waiting for a date. I left Ruth a voicemail this morning. I'm sad to hear that you're having trouble getting her to call you back. I really need to know my date ASAP, whenever it is, because I'm a graduate student and need to arrange for time away from school. I like Dr. Barbara so far, but I can't comment on anything other than the consultation. Sounds like we may be surgery buddies, though! I'll keep my fingers crossed for quick surgery dates for both of us.

Hi there congrats, well my experience with Dr. Barbara and Barix was WONDERFUL. I had my surgery 11/10/04 and have had no problems at all. The one question I did have after I got home, I called and they returned my call within 10 minutes!! Also they provide you with everything, and I mean everything (even the tongs you read about.) all you have to do is ask them for anything you may need. The nursing staff on the floor is Great. Ed, I do not have Dr. Barbaras, but another doctor at Barix. I too just got approval. Barix is a wonderful place. Give the office time to call you back, they usually do within 24 hours, leave a message on the voice mail. They deal with a lot of people daily, surgical and previous patients. I had surgery on 12-17-04 and Dr. Barbara was my surgeon. I love the man! He is the greatest. I'm not sure I met Ruth. When I got my approval letter, I called the insurance department and they took care of everything. Barix is great and the staff is wonderful. I was very happy with my experience and I'm sure you will be too.

I have Dr.Barbara as well. I have only had my consultation. Insurance approval was sent out today. I had a problem as well with getting a return call from Ruth. It sort of made me frown, but I just kept in mind that she is only the assistant, not the surgeon. Finally the insurace dept. at Barix got through to her to get a copy of my file so they could submit for the approval. Lisa
