Going Cruisin'

Hey Gang, Earl and I are going on the Bypass Buddies Cruise in September. Anyone else going or planning on going? Neither one of us has ever gone on one, and we are going to fly into New Orleans a couple days ahead of time to sight see. Never been there either. It would be neat if anyone else was going and we could hook up! I can't wait!! Valerie

Hey Valerie that sounds great ... like a lot of fun. Have you been on a Bypass Buddies Cruise before and if so what are some of the activities? I know I won't be able to attend in Sept. but I never know what my future holds. Georgeann

I have never been! I am really excited. I have wanted to go on a cruise for a long time. Earl used to say "after I lose weight" well...he had surgery in June and he's dropped 75, so I got the information and said..."remember when you said you wouldn't go on a cruise till you lost weight?" then proceded to give him the catalog... He had no rebuttle then! Actually I think he's just as excited if not more, he's been getting scuba diving mags and books on cruises... I am soooo excited Just think...this is something great to look forward to when you become a loser!!! Val

I've been thinking about going because it is the week after my birthday. But it would be like the 3rd week of Fall semester so I'm not sure I would be allowed to take off...plus I think I need to save my time off because I might be doing the skin removal on my legs in December. Gosh, I can't already be talking about that...I haven't even had Henrietta repaired. But that is my long range plan...Henrietta in May and start on legs in during Christmas break.

Well, I was suprised when he said ok, believe me! I was like "who are you and what have you done with my husband?" I am still working on ways to get my ps done. I just figured, I might as well try to enjoy what I can when I can. I was certain I would have my tt and boobs in Feb. Then the insurance said "NO" so that really bottomed me out for a while. Now I am trying to find different ways to get that done. In the meantime...I am gonna get busy with other stuff. LOL Val

WOW Valerie, how exciting that you are going on the cruise. I've always said I want to go on one too "after I lose weight". If I weren't going to have to start saving for plastic surgery that I know I"m going to need eventually, I would consider it too. Maybe the next one! Have a great time! Denise

Hi Sweetie, I'd love to go with you, but think my bank account will not allow me to this year. I hope to be post op by then and would love to go with you and Earl, can you imagine the four of us together? Hell, how about just you and me together??? Watch out world!!! We'd have a blast. Would you e-mail me how much it costs and about how much the flight would cost too? I might have to save up my pennies and try to go!!! My b-day in in early Oct, nice b-day gift, huh??? Hope you are feeling on top of the world. How's your finger? Told Earl not to let you pick those do-flinkies up anymore, that you were "clumsy". Did he tell you that??? Have a great weekend!!! Oh man...we'd have to forewarn the city that we were steppin' out! I don't think we could be very good if we did...I think hell would have to shut down that day... My anniversary is in October, so it is my anniversary present. That will top 'em all. I am hoping to make it a tradition!!! No, he didn't tell me... Now c'mon Susie, we're talking about a guy here...he doesn't remember half the stuff I tell him. Swears I never told him, and I KNOW I did...you know the story. Can't live with 'em... well, um can't live with 'em.... I am looking into all kinds of creative things for surgery. I think I am going to try to appeal the denial as well. I figure it will all work out and happen the way it's supposed to happen. In the mean time, I am just gonna keep on keepin on! Val
