Hey Ya'll, It's me, O paranoid one! I had to have a nuclear stress test for clearance for surgery. When they did the test they told me that i "might" have to come back in to have a second set of pictures taken. Today they called me to tell me I did need the second set of pictures. Is this bad does anyone know? I'm thinking they must have found something abnormal, but my original test was a week ago. Surely they wouldn't wait a week if they found something bad wrong would they? I'm so paranoid that my surgery isn't going to happen, and this is just another thing to freak me out. Does anyone know anything about this????

Mine showed abnormal results and I ended up having a heart cath done. It was completely normal...doc says women often have false abnormal results due to density of breast tissue. It scared me to death, but thank god, all is ok. Hoping the same is true for you.

Hey Sherry, I had a dobutamine stress test done and got a false positive reading from that and ended up with a heart cath that showed my heart was totally fine. That's why they did the nuclear this time because of the false positive before!!! Darn them they are just making me worry more than I already do naturally LOL. Thanks for the support and input. I'm sure it's fine, I just freak from time to time.

I had the same thing happen to me. It was explained to me that I had a cold spot showing on the front of my heart. They told me that this could be caused by breast tissue being dense and moving around from one picture to the next, or that it could be a blockage. Therefore, I wound up having a heart cath. This was no big deal. You are completely comfortable and, luckily for me, everything was fine. False alarm. Evidently, this is extremely common among women... especially those of us who happen to be more well endowed. Believe me, it is much better to be safe than sorry. I hope this helps!!! Karen
