Question

How long does it take for the swelling in the stomach to go down? My surgery (lap RNY) was on December 1st. I have lost 16 lbs, but none of my clothes will fit around my stomach. The only thing that fits is my sweatpants. Is this normal? Sorry guys! I feel like since my surgery I am posting a question every other day! Thanks for always being able to answer my questions and making me feel better!

Completely normal! Remeber your stomach and abdomen went through a trauma and swelling is normal. You are also probably good and bloated still from the post op gas that is both inside your intestines and in the abdominal cavity itself. They just gotta work their way out.... You are only about 2 weeks post op, so I would give it a little longer. Stay as comfy as you can. In no time you will have your pants back on then they will be falling off of you!!! Take care! Valerie
