Plastic Surgery vs Extreme Makeover

This is for Valerie Curry and all the others who had written about getting an extreme makeover to have yourself 'fixed' for lack of a better word... I tried desperately to get on that crazy show! I too had looked into everything and was getting rather depressed at the thought of never being able to have the body I wanted. I know, I should be happy but it's kinda hard when now you can see everything... it's just not where it's supposed to be and everything is saggin'! Anyway, my friend backed out of an open casting call that I had planned as a birthday gift to myself. My 30th, mind you. So my hubby, the wonderful man he is, decided that instead of me cancelling things, he'd go along. We actually figured that since they were looking for theme shows, we'd have a better chance if we auditioned as a couple. Well, wouldn't ya know it??? I'm still the same old Jackie and Tim was the season premier this year!!! If you go to .abc.com keyword: makeover You'll find him... Just my dumb luck but, I'm very proud of him and am still trying to find a way to get myself sucked and tucked!!! You know Jackie, that sounds like what would happen to me!! Tell him congrats and I will check it out. You know exactly how I feel!! I have come so far, and you just want to fini**** and look the way you were meant to look. I almost think it is a cruel joke for the insurance companies to let you have the surgery, then not the reconstruction afterward. Like building a house and not putting the final touches on! "Ok, here's your house. We've de****ded not to put doors or windows in, you should be ok without them" I know I shouldn't complain, because my life could be a helluva lot worse, but daggone it! I want to finish the job. I think I am going to fill the application out just for ****s and giggles. I really would love to just say I tried. Would you mind emailing me with some pointers? Jackie, I have had WLS, but I also have primary lymphedema in both my legs and after receiving treatment have a lot of excess skin. At this point, every inch of my body has excess skin, but I think my legs are what need attention the most, not that I wouldn't like other things. I was told by one PS that it might take as many as 4 surgeries to get my legs to a near normal state. I wonder if EM would be interested in my case, despite the fact I am also a WLS patient. I have pictures to show my legs were improved and had excess skin before I even had WLS. Sarah

I always tell people that you never know unless you try. I do know that you need to have things done to your face. They turned me down coz they said my face was too pretty. Wouldn't ya know that the one time I wanted someone to think I was ugly, they tell me the opposite?!?! At Tim's reaveal, one of the top producers were there and I was harassing him about not taking me. He said that if my teeth were messed up or I needed a nose job, they'd take me in a heartbeat... I snickered and told him that if I'd have known that sooner, I could've had someone work me over real good! lol They want you to be able to see a drastic change just by looking at their face. They want things you can see and not just things that are always covered up. Anyway, if you have anymore questions feel free to email me or leave me a post! Tootles!
