sleep apnea updated

Just wanted to post and let you all know that I do have sleep apnea. I went to a support group meeting at University Hospital last night. Dr. Hallowell stated that all bariatric patients are required to have a sleep test. Their studies have found that if there is a undiagnosed problem it will interfere with your recovery. The c-pap allows you to have a healthier body coming into surgery and speeds recovery after surgery. There were a lot of moans and groans in the room but at least the logic was explained to us. I am down to two more tests before they can submit my insurance claim! The also stated last night that most insurance companies will not accept Weigh****chers, Jenny Craig, and L.A. Weight Loss as supervised weight loss attempts. This starts in 2005!
