I've been so out of sorts lately that I decided that I needed a mental health day with my favorite little great niece. She's a very high maintenance 6 year old who is one of my favorite people! We went to a movie, Shark Tale, not the best but she loved it, and the best part was her snuggling up to me in the theater. Then we had our favorite outing...a trip to Build a Bear. She made a dog and I decided to make myself a bear to use in the hospital for coughing help. I asked her to do all of the rubbing, hugging and stuffing and she told me that I had to do it! Kid cracks me up! So I stood there with my 50 year old self and rubbed my tummy so he would never be hungry, rubbed his heart to get it beating and kissed it so it would be full of love and then made a wish on his heart before we plunged it into his chest! Usually I am so self concious of doing something like that, but not today! We had a great time and I am so glad that I spent the day with her. I'm sure that her Daddy had something to say about another stuffed animal that is going to be in her bed, but she's happy and so am I! It was worth the pain in my legs that I have had all evening and I can't wait to take her out again. Next Saturday we're going go see "The Incredibles". Happy Happy Me!

Well I agree that Lenny the vegetarian Shark was funny but I loved the poor little shrimp who conned him with his tale of a nephew who was basically a stump.

I haven't seen Shark Tale with our kids yet. I will probably wait until it is out on video. We rented Ghost Busters this weekend. The kids thought the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man was hilarious. I know what you mean about going to Build-a-Bear. I did parties there for both of the girls' birthdays last year. It is a fun place to go. I really want one of the curly bears (I collect Teddy Bears). I can never afford to get my own though. I have a small shelf in my room filled with the ones Aaron bought for me when we were dating in high school. I plan to go to the Incredibles with the kids on the 19th. It looks very cute.

If I were you Jaimee, I would be telling anyone who asked what I wanted for Christmas......Build a Bear gift certificates! I'm not normally a stuffed animal kind of girl but I figured what the heck...I want this one and I'm gonna get him! By the way,,,,the shaggy bear is the one who came home with me and I named him Chubby on his birth certificate!

Hi Cathy! I took my 6 year old little guy to see Shark Tales & must admit that I hated it ~ he on the other hand LOVED it & can't wait until it comes out on video. I usually love all kid movies but this one seemed so drawn out....so drawn out that I woke myself up several times snoring!!!!

Ruh Ro....If Dr C sees your post that you hated it, he's gonna have something to say about it! I've already told my family that I am NOT sitting through the new Sponge Bob movie that is coming out. I'll be ducking for cover if the subject of that comes up!!
