Its a go 6:00a.m. Nov 10th
Oh, congrats to you Connie...I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I had my surgery @ OSU and I just got weighed, blood pressure check, temperature the morning of surgery....that was about it.
I have been so blessed with this surgery and my faith is what got me this far thru this WLS journey.
Take care !!!

Wow!! Not long to go. If you still have your reproductive organs, you'll probably have a pregnancy test also. I remember when I went in the morning of surgery, a lady after me said there was no way she could be pregnant, but they had to do it anyway, just to cover themselves.
I remember feeling very anxious in the days leading up til surgery, but the morning of, I was surprisingly calm. I had to wait for a little while after I got there and actually fell asleep in the waiting room, lol. I remember laughing and talking with the surgeon in the pre-op room and nurse and then I woke up in recovery. I was laughing when I woke up, asking the nurse if she happened to notice that train that hit me, lol. I was feeling very happy!!! I have a very high pain tolerance and was running around the floor that evening. Just remember to do your breathing exercises (believe me, you'll get tired of it!!!) and make sure you get up and walk. Don't try to be a hero, take the pain meds when they're offered.
I'll definitely rememeber you in my prayers. Update us when you get the chance!!
Oh, and thanks for the email the other day!! I totally forgot to reply to it, but I did get it.

Connie, Congratulations on the date.
I had surgery at the Barix Center in Yipsilanti, MI. My time was 6:00 am too. It was great. Not a lot of time to sit around that day and worry. The day of surgery the morning goes by very quickly. Just like the above post said, blood pressure, and stuff like that. Then they give you the happy drugs and you don't remember anything until it is over. I am sending all my positive thoughts and energy your way. So exciting that you will soon be on the losing side. Best of luck for a quick and uneventful recovery.
