I NEED A NEW SURGEON

Hello Everyone! To keep it short and to the point.... I said somethings about my surgeon and his staff on my profile page (venting) and he opted to release me from his care (totally his choice and I know this). However, now I'm faced with trying to find another surgeon. I've asked for help from my insurance company, but all they've said is that I can see anyone in the network. I prefer to stay in the Dayton area since my car isn't in the best shape. I did call every surgeon (in my area) that I could find on here (over a month ago) and everyone of their receptionists told me (with a sarcastic chuckle) that their surgeon won't see me since he/she didn't do my surgery. I have a certified letter from my former surgeon stating that he has released me from his care. Does anyone know of a surgeon (again, perferrable in the Dayton area) that might take me in? I'm due for labs around 11/3 and my PCP wants me to be under the care of a bariatric surgeon. Thanks!

WOW!!!! I just went and read over your profile. I'm sorry that you have had so much trouble. Did your PCP give you any suggestions on who to call?? You might have already called these doctors but here's the list of who I researched last year. Dr. Fallang Dr. Carey, Dr.Bruce Dr.Martin Dr.Maqiure, Dr.Hadley, Dr.Anderson I went with Dr.Hadley. Also there are no charges for attending their support groups, just an fyi. And the meetings are open to anyone who has had WLS. I cant even believe what happened to you. I read your profile and I would sue in a minute. The nerve of that man. I hope you find someone soon. How can he not talk to you and be nice first. Does he not know how we feel post op.We say alot of stupid things when we dont feel well/ I hope it all turns out ok. Cindy

Hi...You have had your share of trouble and your surgeon should not have treated you like that. Maybe you were getting just too close home with something he is trying to keep quiet. I had my surgery on 9/27/04. Dr. Fallang was my surgeon and I think he was an angel. Very caring and always had plenty of time to answer questions. Hope you find someone very soon.
