I heard a song on the radio recently.... "Bad Day" by REM... boy does that hit home this week.... not only was my son's car broken into... and another son had his PAYCHECK bounce for the 3rd time.... our 2 year old fridge broke and the "National Company" we bought it from will not come and repair it for 8 days..... I opened my mail today and got my first DENIAL for WLS ( LOL, at least this IS a denial and I can proceed....) Well, I knew this was coming, so now the fight begins!!! I guess being over 250# @ 5'2", having high blood pressure & high cholesterol, back problems as in herniated disks, knee problems..(oh yeah, back surgery AND knee surgery in the past 3 years!!!) and severe depression...being overweight for 22 years, not having Weigh****chers, Jenny Craig or many other "book" diets work.... none of that counts... the letter told me the insurance co. wants DOCTOR documented (in office) weight loss programs. Funny, a few years ago when I asked about "doctor guided weight loss" the insurance said they wold NOT pay and to go to... get this... Jenny Craig... Weigh****chers... GRRRRRRRRR!!! catch 22 anyone???? I will be on the phone to my doctors the first thing in the morning to get appeals ready!!!!

So Sorry for your denial Deb,, I think the devil needs to be stomped on!!!! I plea the blood of Jesus over you and your family. I ask that the angels encircle you and give you a sense of assurity. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN Keep fighting and never give up. I know it is easier said than done, It is your life these people are playing with! GO ask your doctor to copy all your weights for the last five years and have him give you a letter of medical necessity also. Lay it on them!!! Good Luck Jackie C.

Hi Deb, Can I say I know how you feel? Don't give up! If you need any help, I'd be glad to help you out. And always remember, where there is a will, there is a way. Make sure you and that *&*(* insurance company are "on the same page" as to what you really need to provide for them. They sure were evasive with me and even lied so keep on top of them! Beth
