June, I had my lap rny on 9/1/04 and as of yesterday I have lost 24 llbs. So we are pretty close to being the same. But I often wonder the same thing about my weight loss being on target. Good Job!!! Michele S.

I had my surgery on the same day. How is everything else going. I am really lucky - I have not had 1 complication or problem with food. About how much food do you take in at a time - and how often do you eat? I am at about 1/2 cup/ meal and eat between 4 - 5 times/ day.

Hi! I eat about the same. I use 1/2 cup containers made by ziploc and I eat 4 - 5 times a day. I have had no complications(knock on wood). I feel great. I never really felt like I lost energy, I actually felt like I have gained energy. I go to see the surgeon next weds and He should let me introduce food back into the diet!!!(Yeah!!) Michele S.

Thanks for sharing. My doc put me on soft foods after my 10 day check-up so I have been on soft foods for a couple of weeks now...and all is fine so far. We should keep in touch since we both had surgery about the same date and are both from Columbus -- anyway -- good luck next week!

25 # in a month is fantastic!!!! one of the biggest problems we face, post wls, is to compare ourselves with others and with the numbers on the scale.... as deb said- how do you feel?and what are you doing about your proteins and liquids? so much more important!!!!!and give your body time to adjust! i am a "slow" loser but much of my loose skin is hanging a bit better ...

I think that is fantastic. I am 11 weeks out and lost 48 and I am thrilled. It keeps going down, no more ups on that scale. Keep up the good work,Cindy

June, My goal is for my patients to lose 15-30 lbs a month, so you are actually near the high side. So you lose 25lbs a month and in 4-6 months you're down 100 lbs, not too shabby? Good luck, Dr. C The Deaconess Surgical Weight Loss Center Cincinnati, Ohio (513) 559-2545
