Discouraged
Hi guys, I need to just vent for a sec. I am feeling so discouraged right now. I have worked my tushie off since last December to get approved. I finally did this last week and now It may have been for nothing. I spoke with Carrie from my surgeons office and she said there is a chance I will not be schedueled before the end of the year. This is a problem because my insurance will be renewed. If you are a praying person, would you just pray that all of this works out. We would never have enough to pay cash for this surgery and I really need to get healthy. Thanks for listening.

Jaimee,
I am so sorry you have run into this problem! I know how discouraged you must be thinking you have things set and running into this. Seems like changing is your best option and if you have to change Dr. C. is the best choice in my opinion! Of course I am the # 1 fan of Dr. Curry!
Best wishes to you and your family!

Jaimee,
I know just how you are feeling. This has been a long journey for me too and it sounds like we are working with the same office. My switching programs is not an option, as my husband's insurance will not pay unless it's done at Mt. Carmel. You mean to tell me you've had all of your appointments ( Jennifer, psych, etc ) and it's still not going to get done by the end of the year? That makes me discouraged, because I was hoping to have mine no later than January, and I won't even have all my appointments completed until the beginning of Oct. I know some surgeons are flooded with patients who want WLS and the insurance companies sure don't make it easy, but it really does get discouraging.
Hang in there, lots of thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

Hey Jaimee,
This is for you and all others who have insurances who wouldn't cover Barix Clinics. I was at the support group meeting Wed. night and the head of the hospital was there. She said they have new contracts with many of the local insurances to do the surgery there. So you might want to inquire there. She mentioned Ohio Health sepcifically among others. Sounds like good news for lots of people. IMHO, Barix is the absolute best!
Blessings,
