Question: Can you switch doctors in the middle of the process? If you have all your required paperwork? A current office has sent paperwork off for approval. But the patient is thinking about switching doctors? If she gets approved by her current doctor by her insurance can she apply that information to someone else? Te

I have two friends that did. The insurance did not cover a program required by one hospital and she would have to pay $1500 out of pocket. Another hospital did not require the extra program and my friend switched. She was able to pick up exactly where she left off with the other place.

Switching doctors should not be a problem as long as the new doctor is covered by your insurance. I had a doctor, a date, and was laying on the table. My surgery was canceled, and I went to another doctor. They had to resubmit the approval form to the insurance company, but the time was 3 days to get approval instead of the original few months.
