Toledo area support groups?

Hi there, this is my first posting.. I had open RNY surgery on June 8, 2004 with Dr. Fallang in Dayton. He offers a support group, but I don't think driving almost three hours for a meeting is a good idea! So, I was wondering if there are any Toledo area support groups? Any help would be appreciated!

Margo leads one in the Fremont area. It is really coming along I hear.

Hi Emma, Yes there is a support group in toledo !!! Here is a copy of the post that was posted last week..... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark your calendars for this Monday (Aug 16) from 7-9 pm ...we will meet at St Charles Mercy Hospital; 2600 Navarre Ave, Oregon...enter thru the main lobby off Wheeling Ave...proceed thru the lobby to a rear hall -go left toward the "old" building-take the elevator to 6 - we will meet in the Bay Room ( directly across from the elevator). Our group is open to WLS patients and those considering WLS. We will be sharing samples of protein drinks, etc. We are also scheduled in there on Monday, August 30th. Email me if you need further info. I will be offline til Sunday evening. ------------------------------------------------------------------- As you can see the next meeting will be on the 30th of this month. hi emma! our group has been small but mighty and we were without a home for awhile- we are not affiliated with any particular surgeons or hospital--so we are eager to meet you and get to know you! i had surgery in columbus area and some of the gals went to michigan - various sites- as well as a few in cleveland....i say gals because at this time we have had no males in attendance.-YET! if you would like more info in advance, please email me at the bottom of this reply and i will get back with you. hope to meet you on the 30th! congratulations for joining us on the lighter side!hope you are feeling well! oh--deb lisk on this board is also a member of our group and i think vickie will be with us as well...a few others will drop in and out!
