Taking the first step

HI, I'm Becky from NE OH. I'm just getting ready to attend my first informational meeting about the lap band procedure tonight. I'm frightened about the RNY procedure and any other surgery that's going to rearrange any organs. Guess that comes with having had a c-section and a really horrific hysterectomy in the past. I've read everything I can on the lap band and I think it may be just the thing for me. Have been through all the commercial diets as well as doctor supervised diets without much success. Is there anyone out there still in the gleaning for information mode that would like to go through this with me? My family members are all thin and don't understand what I'm going through. I look forward to any responses. And by the way, Cindy from the NW part of OH, has been an absolute God send to me!!! So if you get a chance to talk with her, do it!! Becky
