Hey guys- Just wanted to post and let everyone know I'm doing well. I've lose 21 lbs. in 2 weeks. I got my stiches out 2 days ago. I'm having a little bit of soreness and oozing from the top left insicion, but the doc told me to keep it uncovered and it will heal. It sucks, cause its right in a fold of skin and right where I bend. I'm still struggling to bend and twist, but other than that I'm feeling pretty good. I saw the Doc and Dietician and they said I'm doing great. I am soooo sick of the protien supplements though. Could they be any sweeter? I can't wait to have real food. This week I started wanting real food. It's not that I'm feeling starved, I just want to taste of real food again. I know it's coming with time and I have to tell my self it's only a couple weeks out of my life before I can have real food again. I have done the chew and spit with a few things, just to taste it. Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the wonderful support from all of you! God Bless, Ang

Thanks for the update, Ang. Glad to hear you're doing well. I don't think we "met", as I'm new here. Needless to say, I'm clinging to every word I read on the boards as I'm at the very beginning of my journey. I love hearing when someone says they're "doing well". I like your attitude that this is only a couple of weeks out of your life. It's so true and something I know I'll need to be reminded of when my time comes. Your results so far are wonderful and that certainly makes it worthwhile! Keep up that great mental attitude and I wish you a speedy recovery. Sheila

Sheila- Someone told me once, "It's only a few weeks of my life", when it comes to the special diets. They were right. Good luck in your journey. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep in touch! God Bless, Angie

Hi Angela.I am so happy you are doing well. Are you on pureed now? I am but I did have cottage cheese very small curd and didnt blend it,It was so small anyway. I mushed it with a fork.I guess we can use our own judgement on things like that huh ? Are we allowed sugarfree ice cream if it gets real soft? Thanks, keep up the good work, Love Cindy

Hey Cindy, I hope you are doing as well! I start pureed in a few days. I have had small curd cottage cheese also. It did give me any problems. I thing we are alowwed to had sugerfree anything in small quanities. You can always make a milk shake out of it with skim or 1% milk. Thats got protien in it. Good luck and if you have any pureeing advise please email me. [email protected]! God Bless, Ang
