Hi All, I've read that hair loss should stop at about 6 mos. I will have hit 7 mos on the 18th and I've already lost about half of the volume of my hair and it does not seem to be slowing down much. Guess its a good thing I had a lot of hair to start with ! I've also read that Biotin has been reported to help with hair loss and I purchased some, but I'm not comfortable in taking them whole and I don't know if its ok to crush them. Any advise ? Thanks ! Kari

hi Kari, I am nearly 6 months out.... and I have been taking biotin for 2 months now (since my 3 month check up) mine are caplets and i swallow them. they are smaller than the prenatal vitamin that i have to take which I also swallow ... I take 2/day(biotin) ... and I think/hope they are helping no hair loss problems yet... Good luck, V.

V. I also started taking my Biotin as well. How may mcg of Biotin are you taking per day? The tablets that I take are 1,000mcg each and I take one per day. I was thinking of taking another one in the evening? What do you think? Ayesha

I just started taking Biotin yesterday. I'm taking 600 mg twice a day. I noticed on the bottle, that 600 mg is 200% of the daily recommended allowance. With the malabsorbtion that we encounter, I'm hoping that with taking 400%, I'll at least absorb 100. Does anyone know or ever heard what the average absorbtion rate is? I realize it will vary from one person to the next, but I was curious if anyone had ever heard any figures.
