Anyone go through Metro?

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone went through Metro Health in Cleveland. If you have, I was wondering if you know when they will have Bariatric Surgeons again. I am waiting and waiting and waiting and I was wondering if anyone has any word on when they will get on. Thanks, Faith

Hi Faith, Metro does have a surgeon now. His name is Dr. Mark Malangoni. He was already a general surgeon at Metro. I'm not sure if he is already doing the WLS's yet or not. He is the only one they have now, as far as I know, although I've heard they are searching for another wl surgeon. They are probably very backed up on wlsurgeries since they lost 2 wt.loss surgeons this year. Hope this helps. Jan

Hi Faith When my first surgeon cancelled my surgery date and i needed to search for another Dr. I called Metro Hosp.- Appx. 3 1/2 wks later i got a call back from their dept. asking if i was still interested in their dept. and then they sent me out a form that needed to be filled out and sent back to them, it stated that someone would call me after they received the paper work to schedule an appt. with a doctor at that time. I was looking at appx. another 2+ months !! Well......Im not a patient person so I found Dr. Craig Eyman @ Northern Ohio Bariatric Center @ Parma Hospital and called them, got an appt. fairly quickly and had my surgery with him ! I can't say enough GREAT things about Dr. Eyman and his staff ! Good Luck on your search - If your in the area I would defently look @ Parma.
