Denied

Well, I got denied this morning =( I am attempting to appeal to my employer at this time to see if they are able to help in any way. The problem is, I am a contractor. My real boss lives in TN and I live and work in OH... this is going to be a long ride. Please everyone, say a prayer for me, I really want the surgery. Heather, go on SpotlightHealth.com and go under the message boards. Under the general surgery topic, let them know of your denial. There is a woman on there who is good at getting surgies approved, no matter what insurance it is. She can give you advice regarding this. I read a lot of messages on how she was able to get approvals when nothing else worked. Keep your chin up, it will work. ((hugs))) Jill

Heather, Sorry about your denial. I was denied too and am in the process of writing an appeal. It has been a long road but, I'm not giving up. Just wanted you to know that you aren't alone trying to get approval. We all have to hang in there and fight for what we want. Good Luck!!! Sherry

Heather Were you deny due to a exclusion or other reasons My thought are for you... If you have medical problems and co mobilities gor thru the state insurance board where you live and get copies of all medical records and file an complaunt. If you want this sight just e-mail me. If it is an exclusion this is where obesitylaw.com will help and possiablelly do something. It is a battle and I'm heading into my 11 month but fight it don't give up. Say a little prayer to our Momma Angle who we wer sadden to her death this past week. According to her bio she never had the surgery and couldn't afford it or get cover past away on the 10th. She encourage me to not to give up. I will get, but from all the stress and battle my luck I may die on the table. But I'm strong and I believe this will not happen. Remember this what hurst the most is being approve and meet with the surgeon and then recieved a phone call from the insurance co. that we made a mistake you are not cover you are a exclusion. And with my place of work selling out there was not much to do.... Hang in ther kid join us and fight this inssurance scam and get approve. Alot of inssurance co. will pay for drug addiction or a drinking proplem, but when it comes to obesity in some cases most of us have a eating addiction and they claim it is a lifestyle choice.... Bulll dodo I lost my own fater to comuications of Obesity. This needs to end. A few of us was triing to get the SB 41 from Senator Hagan in Ohio back to life.
