ohio voc rehab

I went to my meeting yesterday w/ voc rehab to try and get help with wls and because i work full time their is nothing they can do to help me . I am not sure what they expect me to do if I do not work I can not survive and if I do work to help myself they will not help me...how can i get help? my insurance has a exclusion for wls

Hi Heather -- Can't really help you .. I am self-employed and have to self-pay .. don't think Voc Rehad would help me either. Although I am self supporting, and a single mom .. you'd think they would find that a situation where they would want to keep me from needing Social Services in the future .. but oh well .. Just wanted to say trudge along .. somehow, someway we'll get the surgery. I'm in Urbana, which is pretty close to Troy as close goes on these boards. Meaghan

Unfortunately most "help" is only available once you've lost your job because of the problem. If you were unable to work due to your weight for a period of time then you would be able to receive assistance.
