HELP - Need a Psych Eval

Does anyone know of a Psychiatrist that will do bariatric surgery evaluations in the Columbus, Ohio area? I have tried all the ones that were listed on the doc page, but they no longer do them...primarily because they got shafted by the insurance companies.....please share the knowledge if you know of someone! I have Anthem insurance by the way

Kristie, Sorry I can't recommend anyone for you but perhaps your PCP or if you've had your surgical consult, that physician can make suggestions. Good luck. Beth

Kristy, Does it have to be a psychiatrist? If you can use a psychologist - the one that I used is Jerome Gotthardt. If you want his info, let me know. I have UHC and he is in network for them, he does require that you see him a few times and you may have to pay for the report and testing. It depends on your situation. -Anne

hello...You can try "Have Faith Christian Counseling" I believe their # 614-361-5100, They do the psych eval. exactly the way bariatrics requires it. Good Luck
