I seem to have broken out in hives. Has anyone every done this. I have had a rash for 2 days but itch before that I guess they think it may be a reaction to the pepcid I am taking. Has anyone else ever done this and found out that it maybee from something in the foods or sugar sub. they put in sugar free things? Help not enough hands to itch. Rynae

Hi Rynae! Sorry about the itching!! ICKY!!!! Is the pepcid something new? Hives are one of the worst things to try to figure out! I would look back and see what you have eaten, put on your skin, washed your clothes in, etc...that is different within the past few days or when the hives started. Have you been out working in your yard? If you can try to pinpoint something new that may lead to a clue as to what it is. The bad thing is you can develop and allergy to anything at any time in your life. The times I have had hives I used something that drug stores usually carry called Sarna Lotion (you have to ask for it) and of course there is nothing like good ol benadryl. I know Aveeno makes a colloidal oatmeal bath that is great too Be sure to get to your physician for a thorough exam. That way your problem can be documented in your medical record in case something like this pops up again. It makes your care easier for them if they know this is going on. Hope this helped a little, and I will think "scratching thoughts" for you and maybe that will help!!! Feel Better!
