mediacare

has anyone in ohio with mediacare tryed to get surgay i have been working on this for 2 years now . my bmi is 55 so i am ok there and have not been denied i dont no forshur where im at with it . just wish thay wood do somthing . so any one have mediacare trying this or got the surgay ?? thanks

My name is Deb Ferrell and I was on Medicare, I am 4 months post op. I had surgury on 1-12. I started the processe in Feb of 03 and was approved by Nov. MY hang up was my dr. they were not talking with each other. Info was being sent to the wrong place and nobody was following up with it. I finally got on to them and they worked together and within a few months I was on my way to a surgury date. Do you have other medical problems?? If so make sure that your family dr writes out info on this. I had high blood pressure, was a diabetic, and had lots of stress and depression. I also had a letter from my back doctor stating that this would help my back. I was luck I did not have to go through a bunch of test or anything. I have been lucky the whole time, had no problems with or after surgury except my potasium has dropped twice. I wish I had done this 5-6 years earlier!!!!!!! Hang in there and keep on the doctors!!!!!!
