St Vincents Charity Hospital

I am going in on the 11th and I was wondering if the rooms here have VCR's or DVD players. Just making my packing list. Jen Pre-op 340

Jen, I had surgery 2 weeks ago at St Vincents and they DO NOT have VCR or DVD players in the room.....they have basic cable. You have a private room and the rooms are actually very nice. I wish you a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery....St Vincents is the best around and you will be in good hands. Take care, ROGER Open RNY 4-22-04 -26 lbs

Hi Jen - Dont bother taking a VCR or DVD - you will have plenty of time for that at home. The 1st 24 hours youre on morphine - so sleep as much as you can - then they switch your pain meds to liquid - so sleep as much as you can. The nurses are great - your room is nice - you will be happy. My surgery was 6 weeks ago - ive lost 40 pounds - and 5 years off my life - its been a Godsend. Best Wishes. Lou-Ann
