Moving To Dayton

Hello all, I was just wondering if there are any support groups in Dayton or the surrounding areas I am two year post op looser moving from Maryland in June. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kara

I live in Dayton. I had my surgery in May 2002 with Dr. John Maguire at Kettering Medical Center. He has support groups the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The RNY Support Group meets at the Kettering Nursing Annex on Far Hills Drive and the BPD group meets in the hospital cafeteria. RNY meeting starts at 6:30 for Q&A with Dr's and for pre-ops/newbies. The regular meeting begins at 7:00 and ends at 8:00. We ususally have speakers, etc at our meetings. I am also a member of an on-line group RNY_achievegoalsgroup (Yahoo). If you need to know anything else just ask. I know that there are other Dr.'s in the area with support groups but I don't know anything about them. A work acquantance just had surgery with a Dr. at Miami Valley Hospital and I know that she has been attending a support group, again I don't know any details on that one.
