Posting as a patient, not a doctor this time... I was in a car accident last Saturday, a little old lady ran a stop sign and I broadsided her going 55 mph. I'm lucky to be alive, which I'm thankful for. However, I discovered today that I have a torn ligament in my hand and I have to have pins and rods and casts and all sorts of nasty stuff put in my hand on Wednesday. Please remember me in your prayers, although the surgery is not major, the use of my hand certainly is! To my poor patients, I can't operate for six weeks, I am terribly sorry but obviously there is nothing I can do... Dr. C The Deaconess Surgical Weight Loss Center Cincinnati, Ohio

sorry to hear about that, as I was scheduled in your offices on Wed May 5th. I have been through alot trying to get this surgery, lots of insurance red tape, its been over a year since I started this journey, and I still feel I am not close to having the surgery although I have been approved by insurance. I had to change doctors, and your name came up, highly recommended I might add. Good luck to you, sorry to hear about the accident, keep the faith and all will be just fine. I wish I would have met you sooner, i might not have had to wait over a year for my surgery. Vicki

You don't have to cancel your appointment, I'll still be working, just not operating. It takes usually about 2 months to get you ready for surgery anyway. We'll still get you're surgery done before most in the area! Don't you guys all abandon ship now! Dr. C The Deaconess Surgical Weight Loss Center Cincinnati, Ohio

I will be thinking of and praying for you as well. I am very glad that you were not hurt worse! Good luck and take care of yourself. You have answered a couple of my posts, and you seem like a wonderful and caring doctor! I just wished I lived closer to you and could get my insurance to pay for you as my doctor! lol Jennifer

repost::: I just wanted to say that I can not speak for everyone else but I am sure that noone is going anywhere..... You made me feel like we are in this together. For the first time I saw a surgeon who understand what we are going through and not just made me feel like I am lazy. How ever long it takes for you to recover I am with you I am not going anywhere You were there for me when I needed it and I am definitely here for you all the way I am so ready for this and I am so glad I found you.
