Reading and Waiting

Hi all I am new to the group tho I've been reading for quite awhile. I am having my surgery done at OSU if I get the approval. I hate this waiting game but guess I know that "things come when they are meant to". Have wanted this surgery for about 3 years but had to put it on hold due to the illness and death of my husband. Its been 20 months and I am still having a great deal of pain and problems. We were married 40 years and went together 3 years before that. We were childhood sweethearts and best friends. Now I am trying to get on with my life since there is no other choice. I need this surgery for my health--diabetes, high colesteral (sp), and obesity. I want a new life so that I can be a functional Nana to my five grandsons. I am so glad that you are so supportive of each other. I feel I'm in good hands. Sandy

Hi, Sandy I too am going through OSU. I think they have a great program, waiting/trying to get the approval is probably the hardest part of the process. Nancy B.
