IF the insurance company gets around to giving me the ok, I want to have WLS. My problem is I have a husband that is mentally disabled and have no one to care for him while I'm in the hospital. My question is: Will I be too debilitated to care for him (the hospital says husbands often stay in patients' rooms)? How immobile will I be? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Carol, Hello there. Wow your going to have Dr. Curry. Excellent choice. Since you are having it done lap, your hospital stay will probably be just 2 days. Once home, you will not be able to do any kind of lifting, but other than that, things should run pretty smoothly. I run a Support Group in the Cincinnati area for WLS. Dr. Curry and his nutritionist, recommends us to his patients. You can find out information about us by going to imnotfatanymore.com. Once there, you will find my phone number all over the website. Feel free to call me with ANY and ALL of your questions. Sandy Pierce [email protected]
