I have been through the surgery (1yr ago in April). I have lost over 100 lbs. and feel great! My problem is that no matter what I eat I get gas really bad. It is very embarassing and even has (some of the time) a very foul odor. I am not trying to be gross, but would like to know if anyone else has this problem and what do you take to rid yourself of it? Thanks in advance, Sandy

Sandy, I just posted about the same problem on the main board. I will be a year out in April and have been passing gas almost constantly for the past 4 or 5 days. I hope someone can give us some insight. Sarah

Sarah, thanks for the message. I have had this problem ever since my surgery. Some foods are worse than others, but it is so emabarrasing! I hope other than that you are doing well! Sandy

That can be one of the side effects of the type of surgery depending on how much was cut. Recently Dr Fallang spoke to our group on this. There are some internal pills you can take. They are available at vitalady.com and I am sure other sites as well. Also you might slow down and see if that helps any. The only other tip is to not light any matches.m Just teasing

Jack, thanks for the sense of humor! My daughters give it to me every day. I have tried slowing down, but some foods are worse than others. Thanks for your response. I am going to the website now. Sandy
