OSU vrs Mount Carmel

Good Evening All; I have a question and was wondering if anyone could help with the answer. My insurance company gives to 2 choices of places to have the surgery. One is OSU Medical Center and the other being Mount Carmel West. As of yet I haven't been able to find much info on either program, except of course what others have said and they both seem to be about the same. Any ideas where I can find such info? I have consult dates with both but they are so far off that I would like to research in the meantime.... Thanks! Lori

I am a patient of Dr Custer and have nothing but positive comments concerning his care. I would recommend attending both support groups to get more opinions. That's one thing about most us WLS patients, we aren't shy about sharing opinions. The group at Mt Carmel meets the 1st Monday at 6:30 in the Medical Staff building auditorium at Mt Carmel West.

Hi Lori, Mt Carmel has a website.... www.midohiosurgical.com that you can look through until your packet arrives. It's full of useful info! I had Dr Custer for my surgeon and he's truly a great individual. He's honest and caring and his staff is sublime. I have been treated with respect at every turn. He's knowledgeable and personable as well which says a lot about a Dr as far as I'm concerned. Another person gave you the dates and times of the monthly meetings that Dr Custer and Dr Price's nurses and staff put on. Our next meeting is April 5th. Come on over!! Hopefully will see you soon!
