Ashley Hardy Update 3/14/04

Good Evening Wonderful People!! Just a quick update on Ashley.....she is feeling pretty good for the most part...still sore etc...feeding tube can be annoying at times...but she is psyched about heading home to charlotte on Tuesday AM.......as am I.....she will be on a formula called Promote with Fiber for about 2 weeks and during that time will start to wean off of using the feeding tube....and do more by mouth...Right now she only drinks water, never really strays from that......she is never hungry.......she does experience head hunger from time to time but she's smart enough to know the difference.......overall, she is doing ok......we will return to Cincinnati on april 22 for her follow up and then again on August 3...........Again, let me say how grateful I am for all of you during this very challenging time.....everything you have done to help me/us thru this time in no way can be put into words....just please know you have our heartfelt thanks....I will continue to post for Ashley until she starts to post for herself....Again, God Bless you ALL! Lori and Ashley I will miss you so much, but I am so glad you both get to return home. It's been a long road. I am always going to be here for you. I look forward to seeing you on April 22, and again on August 3rd. My group would like to get together with you for lunch on those days. I am so glad everything is going better! Please remember to give us updates. I still think it is so awesome that she had the courage and resolve to go through surgery, and then deal with the complications. She is way beyond her peers in maturity! Sue
