DENIED...

Just got done talking to my insurance. They have denied my claim for WLS...I expected it, but it still is a bitter pill to swallow... I did however file a grievance while on the phone with her. I don't know if that will hel*****t. She told me that they will let me know the decision when they are done looking it over.

Keep up hope. What was the reason they gave you. It is tough now to get the surgery because it is expensive for insurance companies to cover. I am hoping you can win your appeal. Good luck and if there is nything I can do please email me.

Jack, They said that I didn't have a doctors 6 months worth of dieting, also that I didn't have anything from a nutritionist. Talked to my doctor and he was a little ticked. He has been watching me all my life struggle with my weight and he supervised many of my weight loss attempts thru the years. He is going to write to the insurance company and "give them a piece" of his mind. lol.. The denial also stated that I have had no behaviorial counceling. sigh...didn't need any of this when I first talked to them!

Hang in there and fight with summa i know they are hard to deal with. Good luck
