need more info

Hi all, I have been coming to the site for about a month now. I was contacted by an office called infusion reembursment out of Illinois. They told me I would be able to have the surgery done and was given info on everything I asked about. But they say I have to have the surgery in Detroit. Has anyone heard of them. They are processing my info to see if I would be able to have the surgery. I have not received the info packet yet with the doctors names but I am looking for more info. I cannot find a web site. All I can find is an address and phone number. I really want to have this done, but want to make sure that I am in good hands. any I was told once given the ok would only be 6 weeks to the surgery, does this sound right?

This sounds like you insurance companies managed plan. I think if that's the case it does sound reasonable. Good luck and keep posting. Sounds good.

Kim,being that you are in Canton, St.Vincent's in Cleveland is a great place to start the journey to WLS. I would be a very leary about this other contact. You want to be close to wherever you have the surgery done. There is a support group meeting every second Tuesday of the month at Perkins Restaurant by Belden Village. I went last month and was one of 3 who haven't had the surgery yet. It was a great experience. If you can make it on the 9th at 7 p.m. you should go. Most of the people who go to this meeting went to St. Vincent's. It all begins with a seminar and then it just moves from there.
