New to the site!!

Hello all, I am fairly new to this site. I have been doing research on bariatric surgery for quite some time, ran into this site sometime in January. After 2 years of research and "thinking" about it, I finally made an appointment to see a surgeon. My initial consult is tuesday the 2nd. I hav been waiting since January for this appointment. February sure went fast. The one thing that I dread is getting the insurance approval, I pray that is goes through easily and quickly. Anyway, hope to chat with you all. I have learned an immense amount of infomation from this website alone.

Hi Pattie, my surgeon is Dr. Jasper. At least that is what the info says that the hospital sent to me. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Welcome! Avon and Mary Kay...is that a conflict of interest??? I have Ohio Medicaid and was approved in 2 months, but of course everyone's situation is different. I wish you a smooth journey! Sarah

Hi Sarah! No conflict of interest at all. I love doing both, although don't really make much at it. Just nice to get the discount. I am concerned that I might not get approved through medicaid. I would consider myself a "healthy" obese person, although I have my share of aches and pains. I hope it goes smoothly also. Heidi
