Please help

I am hoping to have the surgery but I can't seem to find a doctor that will help me. My BMI is only 36 but I have alot of health problems because of it. Can someone please help?

Well depending on what your insurance requires also has alot to do with it, but i do know that Dr Ghaphery in Wheeling WV does it at a BMI of 35 and gets you a surgery date quick with out all the hassel you do have to see a dietitian and a phychologist before he will even set u an appt up, but i started this journey 27 days ago and got a surgery date of march 22. so yeah that was fast. If you decide to drive that extra mile i also have the name of both dietitian and phychologist in that area that both got me in a week after i called. Dr Ghaphery number is 304-232-3520 ...good luck. Oh yeah get a letter of medical reason why u need this surgery from your local doctor. Misty

Hi Rebecca, I too am from the Cleveland area. I am having the lapband sugery. Its not as ivasive as the RNY. and recovery is a few days to a week. My surgery is in March. Let me know if you want more information. I have been studing this for 6 months. a month from now i will know what i am talking about first hand. Debby
