Start-up/Organizational Meeting: BARIATRIC SURGERY SUPPORT GROUP Original Post by Del Ray Fox at 12:38 AM EST on 12/22/2003 Republic, OH - RNY (09/16/2002) Del Ray Fox is a former bariatric surgery patient who is helping to organize this support group and working in collaboration with Health Ministries of North Central Ohio. It is designed for those who have had or are considering weight loss surgery. Start-up/Organizational Meeting THURSDAY, JANUARY 22, 2004 7:30 p.m. MERCY HOSPITAL OF TIFFIN GROUND B CONFERENCE ROOM 485 W. MARKET ST., TIFFIN Enter through the main west-side entrance. Take the elevator to ground floor and follow the hallway to your right. Turn right where the hallway ends. Ground B is on the left near the end of that hallway. The purpose of this support group is to provide comfort, support during the weight loss process, surgery recovery period, and the ongoing lifestyle changes. We will share healthy recipes and provide educational speakers to address concerns or specific interests of members of the group. Hey Del, remember me? This is Michelle, the onein Findlay who tried to start up a support group there, but it didn't go so well. I happen to move to Tiffin this past summer, so you betcha that I will be showing up to this meeting. I need the support and want to speak to those out there who may need a revision, or what to avoid to have a revision. See ya there! Majestikbutterfly

Michelle, Great to hear from you. I look forward to meeting you and to get this support group stated. I just finished reading your profile and I am sorry to hear what you had to go though...I understand for a news reporter the doctor you re: has closed his local office. I can confirm this information. If you know of anyone else out there or still have contact is the Findlay area, we are hoping to make this support group not just for Seneca Co. but to all, surronding area and anyone else that would like to join us. Michelle, granted I have not met you todate but would you have anytime to help with this support group in the formation and leg work, not sure we will have officers etc. yet.
