Job, Plastic surgery and Humana

Well sorry to vent here but I thought I would try and give a little synopsis of what's been going on. My employer decided with Humana's help to exclude gastric bypass and all related services from all of their plans as of 1/1/04. Humana convinced them they could keep costs down by doing this. SO I went for a plastic consult early to get started. Well I received word that I would have have it completely done-that means on the table and in the hospital by 12/31. This was a complete turn around from information that I received earlier. They also denied the breast reduction saying gynomastica is an excluded benefit. So I guess since people look like their dogs, I will get a sharpei. My new hero will be the Michelin man Merry Christmas Bah Humbug

you vent all you want!!! i am sorry that this is happening to you- so many ins. companies seem to change the rules midstream!

So does that mean you are getting the plastic surgery done? Or that you can't?

Probably unless God intervenes or if a lot of things happen I can't. Doctor said there is no way they can get me in by 12/31/03. You look great by the way.
