Anyone from Akron area???

I am still a post-op,I am doing the 6 month supervised diet and Im on the 6th month now.I was looking for anyone around my area having support groups or just to get to know someone. Thank you Michelle (\0/)

I live in Northfield Center and the only Akron meeting I know of is at Perkins by Belden Village. I have never gone to this meeting as it is still a little further from home than I would like. I am having surgery at St. Vincent's in Cleveland on December 19. We have our own support system by way of a registered message board. I copied the following off our boards. I am sure there would be no problem with you attending their group. Good Luck! Hi Michelle, I had my surg. aug 4th , today is my forth mo. anv. and i am down 75 lbs. Dr. Jaroch has great meetings once a month at akron general hospital and some patients have a peer group meeting once a month at the barberton library. You are welcome to join us at either. Melanie
