Stage III diet for OSU post-ops

Hi! I was wondering about the stage III diet. I only have one paper from OSU that describes the diet. Does Dr. Needleman give you the info at your first post-op appointment. I meet with a dietician in Wooster and not one of OSU's dietician. I would greatly appreciate any info on the stage III. Thank you, Natalie B.

Hi Natalie Your surgeon will have to clear you to move onto Stage III and that usually does happen at your first post-op visit, given that you aren't having any major problems. I had done my pre-op nutrition classes with a local nutritionist but since I was going to be at OSU anyway I met with the one there right after my appointment with my surgeon. If this isn't possible, I would follow-up with your nutritionist in Wooster and have OSU fax her the info to go over with you. If all else fails, let me know I might still have the handouts and can mail them to you...although getting some professional in put is always best. Sarah
