Curious about depression?

I have a surgery date scheduled for 11/3 in Bowling Green,now that time is short I have questions about depression. Since I currently take prozac for mild depression should I worry about this getting worse? I am now so excited for this surgery; I feel like I am getting a new life. God has truly blessed me and I am so thankful for this website.My family is not fully supportive of this and may have to go thru everything alone but if everyone can keep me in there prayers I would greatly appreciate it.

i have depression also and am on same med- i would think that you will still feel those feelings for which you are being treated...and perhaps some days they will even feel stronger. work with your pcp and your surgeon to best deal with this!as your weight drops; maybe you will feel differently and will be able to be removed from the meds- i was at one time however things have triggereed to put me back on. again- work with your doctors about taking meds in hospital and after care. i have emailed you- please check your mail!!!
