I met with my surgeon today and he explained that I will not have any sutures or staples, but will be glued. I was a little suprised. Supposedly, the glue will last 10-14 days?!?! Has anyone had exeperience with this type of closure? ANY imput would be great! Thanks, Nicole

Yes it is great. I had mine in May. No fuss no muss. No infection

Yes, the glue is great. I had my open RNY Oct. 6th and had no trouble at all. Is your doc Martin? He's great and his P.A. Jarrod is great too!

Thanks for the imput! Yes, my surgeon is Dr. Martin. I met Jarrod, too. He's seems really friendly! Did you have a positive experience with Dr. Martin? How long did it take for your incision to heal?

I had surgery 10/6 and when I saw the doc the 22nd, I only had a small place at the end of the incision. There was a stitch sticking out and they cut it off and I have a very small scab, there. Otherwise the incision is all healed. Had a great experience with Dr. Martin. Very busy office and I will be glad when they move to a larger office. The worst part is the clear liq. for so long. I got to start full liq. after I saw the doc. I went to my PCP yesterday and he was thrilled at how well I am doing. I am off all meds. I took my BP pill for a week after, and felt yuck so I had stopped it. I feel good as new but.....still just allowed to walk, nothing eles! Feel free to email me if you'd like!
