Transportation after surgery

Has anyone had to deal with hiring transportation home after surgery? I figure I could rent a car to get from my home in North Canton down to BTC in Groveport, but would need to hire someone to cart me home, since we can't drive for 2 weeks. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive and it'd need to be a very dependable and understanding company, one I could count on, since I'd need help hauling luggage and could also still be nauseous. An ambulance or limo would be overkill. Are there car services that do this? Also, do you think I'd still be nauseous 3-4 days after surgery and have to deal with that in the car? Thanks so much for any help you can offer! Carolyn

I would try and find a relative to do this for you. Insurance may contribute or pay also. I would also check with BTC since they have probably seen this before. I wasn't nauseous at all coming home from surgery but I would make small stops to keep moving. I know this isn't much help but now is the time for you to ask people for help. Is there a support group in your area. Maybe someone would volunteer for you.
