Got my initial consult!

YEA! Thanks to Shannon H! I think she gave me some Good Luck vibes or something, because I looked in the mailbox today and there was my letter from UC! My initial consult is July 31st. It doesn't even matter to me how long it takes for them to schedule the surgery. I am just excited my foot is in the door and the ball is officially rolling up the hill! Thanks to everyone for encouragement!

Way to go. I'm so glad you have good news and now the wait will not seem so long. Well like you said at least your foots in the door. Hang in there and keep the faith.

Congratulations on getting past the first big hurtle! I had lap RNY 10/29/02 by Dr. Gersin and can't say enough good things about him and Jessica. The hard part for me was the waiting in between consults and pre-op activities. Next will be the psych eval and the diet classes. It seemed like a dream when the actual day for my surgery finally arrived. It's the best thing I have ever done for myself and I am so excited for you!
