Therapists in or around Columbus?

We've all heard people tell us that our doctors operated on our stomachs, not our heads.  I know that's true and I didn't get to be almost 450 pounds on accident.  I know I will need "head help" to lose this weight and use my sleeve to its fullest.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone know of any therapists who do counseling in or around Columbus who specialize in weight loss surgery patients?  I realize I could probably find a therapist who would do, but it would be nice to know of a professional who gets it and has an understanding.

Who did your psyc eval for pre op, maybe they could help. also maybe call the McConnell( at the heart health center) weight management team, I believe they have one that helps after surgery.  Sorry I cant be of more help

I traveled to Cincinnati for my surgery so my psych eval was done by a doctor there, but thank you for the idea of contacting McConnell.  I'm also going to poke around a bit online and see what I can find out.  It might be a trial and error thing.

I think I might also check to see about support group meetings here in town.  I'm hoping they won't mind an interloper from another surgeon attending their meetings ;)

I see that you had Dr. Curry as I did...he is pretty great, just wi**** was easier to get to see him now...and that he done revisions to the DS

In worthington there is a place called center for balanced living.  They focus on weight issues.  I went there for about a year before my surgery
