surgery at cleveland hospital in ohio

can someone help me please? I am from champing IL. and would like to have surgery at Cleveland hospital in Ohio I am going to have a revision surgery lap band to VSG if anyone as been in the same situation please let me know I am using Medicaid how long is the approval and how long is the waiting time it a revision do i steel need to take the class and see psychiatric please just let me know your experience and who is the best doctor .I have been to a lot with my band enough is enough..........I hope this is the best and final decision for me to reach my goal

I had my surgery a few weeks ago at the Cleveland Clinic. My Dr. is Dr. Schauer. He is the head of the program. He is great. But I think all of the doctors there are excellent. It is a top notch program. My approval took 6 months. Not sure what all you'd have to go through with it being a revision as far as psych, etc. I reccommend that you call and talk to them. They can give you a lot of the info you need and answer your questions over the phone. They can also send you a packet which gives you the info and tells about all of the Dr.s there. Good luck!

You should talk to your caseworker, not sure what the rules are for going out of state. Why not do it in IL?
I any case, you will have to get prior authorization for the surgery and your caseworker should be able to walk you through it.

You may have a problem being an out-of-state Medicaid patient since Medicaid is run at the state level.  You may have more luck in IL than Ohio.
