Well I did it, I had the surgery Jan 4th and Im home and sitting at my computer having strained wonton soup right this moment!  Im feeling pretty good, no complications thank god so far!  The only complaint i have is the insicional (sp?) pain and the once in a while stabbing gas pains!  Has anyone had that before?  It was excrutiatingly painful when rolling over in bed but it has gotton better, always is with the percocet!:)
So, Im good, I did it and Im so glad!  Now Im takin a seat on the losers bench!  I have an appt with my surgeon tomorrow so I will have my weight loss so far!  Thanks for all the support!

I also had surgery Jan 4th and I am struggling with not being hungry in my stomach, but craving in my head something yummy like a piece of pizza. Harder than I thought. Hard to dring the fluids, but working on it

Congratulations on your surgery. I am enjoying some Unjury Chicken Broth right now. I had my surgery on 12/27/10. I had both my gallbladder and appendix removed in the process. I am somewhat sore and yes the gas pains can be troublesome. I am learning how to eat and remembering how to work in all of the vitamins and protein drinks. It's work but worth it.

Congrats to all 3 of you!

I revised from lap band to RNY in November, and I can tell you that I had a side stitch for 3 to 4 weeks, not a constant pain, but annoying pain on my left side, my Dr said it was normal and would go away around 3 to 4 weeks, and it did.

Best wishes!

xoxoxo,
Trish

Yeah a few times it has bothered me with food around.  My son was eating Wheat Thins as he decided to come lay in bed with me to visit and it took every ounce of control not to grab the box and chow down!  UGH!  i really want to crunch something already!  I have been wanting certain things too, not hungry just all in my head!  Off to see the doc in a bit for the big weigh in, i will keep you all posted!  glad to see im not alone in the recovery process!
